Swedish police have managed to uncover an underground steroid network, from distributors to customers. Police rounded up forty people after a series of raids carried out across the whole of the country on Tuesday before day break.

The raids were initiated after Swedish police caught a man attempting to flee the country with a bag full of money. A 25 year old man was arrested with a bag of money and police believe he was attempting to flee the country. The man was also carrying a name an address of a 51 year old man from Gävle, who has since been detained along with his girlfriend.

Throughout the raids, police confiscated large quantities of steroids for sale, weapons and ammunition.

“We found large quantities of doping drugs and we received signals that his sales basically encompassed the whole of Sweden and took place over the internet,” said Pär Langer of the Gävleborg police department.

According to the police, most of the distribution of the anabolic steroids took place in the Stockholm area to people involved in the fitness or bodybuilding circles. Some have even considered this the biggest doping bust in Swedish history.

Tren Bomb is the commercial name given to the chemical compound 17-Beta-Hydroxy-Androstan-4-One. Released only recently by Phama Labs, this “prohormone” has been mentioned as a direct replacement for the recently banned methyl-1-testosterone (M1T).
