Pro Anabolic is better than Steroids

Mestanolone is an oral version of the strong androgen dihydrotestosterone. Dihydrotestosterone itself is probably the most active androgen in the human body, displaying an ability to and activate the androgen receptor at least three or four times greater than that of its parent steroid testosterone.

Dihydrotestosterone was first synthesised in 1935 by Pfizer, which led to an array of steroidal compounds based on this strong androgen. Mestanolone was the name given to this 17 alpha alkylated form of dihydrotestosterone.

Despite the fact that dihydrotestosterone was researched and discovered to be up to four times stronger than testosterone, this compound never took off from either a clinical or commercial point of view. The only preparation including this compound over the past fifty years has been Ermalone. This was manufactured by a German company Roussel Pharmaceuticals which has since been discontinued its production line.

The East German athletes used this compound with great success during the period of the Cold War. During the eighties and nineties, the Germans developed advanced techniques to aid drug testes athletes to avoid detection. This allowed the Germans to evade countless urine tests and become a dominant force throughout in Olympic sports.

Mestanolone is a highly androgenic compound. This means that the androgenic side effects will generally outweigh the anabolic benefits. The fact that this is highly androgenic means that side effects such as oily skin, acne and body/facial hair growth will be very prominent, along with the possibility of acceleration of male pattern baldness.

Being a c17-alpha alkylated compound, mestanolone can result in an increase in stress put on the liver. This route of preparation alters the chemical structure to allow the drug to pass through the liver allowing a high percentage of the drug to enter the bloodstream.

Doses of 10-20mg per day should be sufficient for physique or performance enhancing purposes. To reduce stress on the liver, courses should not be continued for any longer than 6-8 weeks.

This steroid will not convert to estrogen and so water and fat retention should not be encountered. There is even proof that this steroid can actually promote fat loss and increase muscular definition by reducing water retention.

There will be suppression of endogenous testosterone production under the administration of this steroid. PCT will need to be taken care of to stand a chance of retaining gains from the cycle.

To buy steroids like this, bodybuilders will have to resort to going underground as there are no commercial manufacturers sill up and running. It is rumoured that mestanolone leaked in to the sports supplement market in 2005, but since this compound was added to the Governments extension of the steroid ban, this has not continued.
