Anatrofin, Anabolic Steroid
Anatrofin is the commercial name given to the steroid stenbolone acetate. Derived from Dihydrotestosterone, this steroid has about three times greater anabolic effects when compared to testosterone and only displays around 15%-30% more androgenicity.
Developed in Germany by Schering AG, stenbolone acetate was introduced to the German market in 1961, and only two years later, was introduced to the UK. Its intended guidelines were to be used as an alternative to Anadrol in cases of Amenia, although detailed clinical information is scarce.
This steroid was popular amongst European bodybuilders due to the anabolic tendency and its ability to promote lean muscle gains without water retention or fat gain. Disappointment spread throughout the European bodybuilding community when this steroid was discontinued and manufacturing ceased in the 19080’s.
Side effects are always going to present themselves when any anabolic steroid is taken in doses sufficient to promote muscle gains. Testosterone suppression will occur so cycles are kept to 6-8 weeks. Acne, accelerated hair loss and anger are all common problems associated with steroids.
As a steroid for sale, stenbolone acetate is no longer available, either on the black market or as a prescription medication. This steroid was likely discontinued due to other steroids producing higher profits and not a reflection on the steroid itself.
